This sweet 2014 Prius C has been great until this year. I bought her new, and I’ve only ever had to replace the front brakes a couple of times in the 11 years I drove this car. Of course, oil changes, filters, and regular maintenance were done diligently.

But in the last year, things started to go wrong. First, the phone charging plug went, and then those dashboard warning lights all started coming on.
Then I lost cruise control.

When I took it in to get my summer tires put on, and have them check what was causing the lights, and the rattling, my mechanic recommended it was time to let go of her and put the money towards another car.

I love this car; she was single-owner driven, and I drove her a lot. She had 259117 kms on her when the mechanic suggested I give he up.. But you know that makes the batteries better than those with fewer km.
It’s true. I’ll wait while you look that up.

I’m going to be totally honest. I promise.

So here’s what they told me she needed.
New rack,
right wheel bearing
outer tie rods,
control arm brushing,
front struts
Rear shocks.
And then there is the non-working cruise control and phone charger.

Her engine and battery still work perfectly; in fact, all the parts I have not mentioned are still working like a charm. Her tires are fairly new. Just the disconcerting rattling that makes metoo nervous driving her.

I am not, but if you are mechanically inclined and could salvage her working parts or fix her underbelly parts, then make me an offer! I will take the best offer.

I do have winter tires on rims that have only seen one winter. But that would be a separate offer.

She’s a great little car and deserves another chance.
