Selling my 2012 Ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn. It’s been a great truck to me and has been very reliable. I’ve put roughly 40,000 km on it over the last 10 months and have had relatively no issues.
Previous owner religiously serviced the truck at Sopic in Pickering, with over $25,000 in service/maintenance history. I believe I’m the third owner.
Recent maintenance within the last month / 5,000 km:
Fresh oil change
New front brake pads
New front rotors
New front calipers
Front right axle shaft joint rebuilt with grease fitting added and freshly greased
New front hub/bearing
New wheel speed sensor.
Transmission fluid was also flushed within the past year.
Oil has been changed every 7,000–10,000 km using Shell Rotella T6.
Body is solid for the age and mileage. Rockers and cab corners are solid. The front fenders have a little rust starting at the bottoms. The box and truck do have scratches and cosmetic wear.. it has been used as a work truck, so it’s not a showroom truck, but overall it presents well for what it is.
The engine light will occasionally come on after short drives where the truck is being turned on and off frequently. The truck still has the factory EGR system, and it has done this since I bought it. It has never affected how the truck runs or drives. In the future, you could have the EGR system serviced/cleaned if needed.
Features:
Laramie Longhorn interior
Heated & cooled seats
Heated steering wheel
Alpine premium stereo
Bluetooth
Factory 120V wall-style power outlet
A/C works perfectly
Heat works perfectly
4x4 works as it should in both high and low range
Things it could use:
Tires should be replaced soon
Rear tailgate is rough.
Should pass a safety aside from potentially needing tires, but obviously that would be up to whoever is doing the inspection.
I try to bring everything forward in the ad so there are no surprises when someone comes to look at it. It’s a high-km truck and it’s been used as a work truck, but it has been well maintained and has a ton of service history behind it.
It’s been a great workhorse and I wouldn’t hesitate to keep using it.
