I am hoping to sell my 2005 Lexus LX470. It has been amazing. I absolutely love these vehicles. I had a 1999 Toyota Landcruiser when I lived in BC and it was amazing as well. Hate to see it go but I’m in need of a city vehicle with better gas mileage.

It has the 4.7 L V8. Is running strong always has. A small manifold leak that is not very noticeable and of course a little pricey to fix so I just left it. When I got it it came from Winnipeg. Before that it was in Montreal and before that it was in Florida. So it’s in Miles on the Odometer. 144500 miles (234,00 kms)

When I first got it, it had rust. I set out to repair all of it, scraped the frame, degreased the whole undercarriage and used POR 15 to fix it. It’s held up extremely well. The two front fenders I just replaced them outright. New metal from Lexus and repainted them. Speaking of repaint it is a single stage paint that was color matched via the color code by Benson Automotive. It’s not exactly a perfect match and my paint sprayer skills aren’t the greatest. It has some orange peel unfortunately. I never did paint the hood. Just the sides and rear.

After repairing the rust I set out to give it an Old Man Emu Suspension, new muffler, Diff Drop by Slee Offroad and spacers for the wheels. Currently it’s running Goodyear All Terrain Tires. They are fantastic in winter.

It has a brand new front differential from Lexus. That was unfortunately a mistake by the garage. They replaced the axles and unfortunately there was a leak at the diff seal that went un-noticed. It ended up seeing on me so I had them put a brand new one in and I recycled the old one.

Heater Tees, have been replaced with metal ones and the truck also has a ARB Diff Breather kit on it. So no worries there if you are in the water.

Overall it’s in good condition. Not perfect but will serve the next person well I’m sure.

Forgive me but I am in the middle of compiling all the maintenance and garage items on the truck. I will have it available for anyone interested. I have the old Carfax as well that shows Florida and Montreal and Winnipeg.
