2005 Chevy Avalanche 1500 5.3L v8
Currently has 335,xxx will go up as it is my daily driver. Has been a great truck but I have a 45 min commute and need something smaller and more fuel efficient. Have done a ton of work to it and hate to sell it. Ac and Heat works great and it drives great, could possibly use an alignment but drives smooth and everything works great. Has the bose speaker system which is very nice.
Work includes:
- Rebuilt driveshafts summer 2024
- New transfer case jan 2025
- New battery and alternator feb 2025
- Paint matched trim all black summer 2025
- Front leveling keys installed with proper shock spacers
- New gas pedal, throttle response module, and replaced throttle body summer 2025 (was an unrelated issue so there is extras for each of these parts)
- Front axle seals outer summer 2025
- New 33" tires replaced summer 2025 on chrome rims (will full size spare mounted with an older goodyear wrangler)
- New front brake pads and rotors
- Power steering pump replaced fall 2025
- Auxiliary lighting added including: ditch amber/led, 30 inch light bar, led fog lights, rocklights, and flush leds mounted in rear bumper, plus aftermarket led bulbs for both high and low beams. This setup is perfect for offroading or spotting deer on the sides of the highway
Issues:
- The check engine light is on for an evap code. Doesn't effect driving and I can show you the code on the scanner
- Airbag light is on, very common issue with these trucks
- Brake booster service light is on. I am stumped with this as there is zero codes stored and I just replaced the powersteering pump which is the brake booster. ABS and brakes work great!
- Oil pressure sensor has stopped working and I havent had teh chance to replace (gauge works just the sensor constantly reads the max even when not running)
-Typical chevy rust and the rockers are getting pretty bad, did a cheap fi to try to prevent it from getting any worse and the plan was to graft new rockers on this summer
- Small exhaust leak from passenger side connection between header and exhaust can probably tighten the bolts but I did not want to risk snapping any exhaust bolts so I left it, doesn't effect anything.
Work that I am doing in the next week or can negotiate into price: WILL UPDATE AND THINGS ARE DONE
- Oil change
- I need to reseal the front diff as it did not seal right when I did the axle seals
- Encoder motor is on its way out, as the 4x4 switch works on and off (can just replace motor and do not need to pull t-case , 3 bolts to change
Looking to move to a smaller vehicle so just looking at getting rid of the truck.
