2000 Toyota Echo (fixer-upper). Our little Toyota has been super reliable for us for the past 15 years. Amazing. It still starts, but does not run very well. The idle is off. The brakes are stiff. The windshield is broken. This would be a fantastic project car for a new mechanic. When working well, it really drives like a little sports car, and has been super fun. And, it gave us about 30 miles to the gallon, so that’s better than even some of the new hybrids. That’s why we kept it for so many years.
