Reluctantly selling my 1992 BMW 318is due to changing circumstances. Clean, mostly original car that’s been maintained with a focus on reliability and safety rather than quick fixes. Recent suspension and fuel system work done, winter tires included. A great foundation for an enthusiast looking for a well-kept E36.
The car itself is an absolute joy to drive. It runs well, feels light and responsive, and delivers a truly analog driving experience that’s hard to find in modern cars. The steering is direct, the chassis feels connected, and everything about it reminds you why BMW earned its reputation in the 90s. No screens, no artificial feedback — just a simple, engaging car that makes even short drives genuinely enjoyable.

History:
I purchased the vehicle in mid August of 2025, since then I’ve done some work to bring it up to speed considering the car is 33 years old. All the work was completed by RPM Motorworks. The car was originally purchased on the west coast and brought to Arnprior by the original owner. It was then sold to a local collector back in 2020. They put 9,300kms on it. I am the third owner and have put aprox. 3,100kms on it so far. It was never winter driven until this year (long story but I clean it often). The car is a very clean example of an e36. There is virtually no rust, especially in those problematic spots. Everything is original except for the parts I needed to replace. The car isn’t perfect but it’s pretty close for a 33 year old machine.

Known issues:
- Driver side door fabric starting to peel
- Passenger side rear panel starting to peel
- Roof fabric liner sagging but its clipped up
- Driver side brake light not working
- Radio only plays AM stations
- Rear passenger shock leaking
- Rear driver side axle seal leaking

Work on the car:
Nov 14, 2025 - Replaced O2 sensor, replace both lower control arms ($1,651.21)
Dec 17, 2025 - Replaced fuel pump assembly w/sending unit ($684.99)
Winter tires and rims purchased Nov 3, 2025, BF Goodrich Steel rims ($1,129.59)
